Dear Headmasters, dear Colleagues,

we kindly ask you to divulge  this announcement concerning the XXXVII  Certamen Horatianum, a  competition organized by the Liceo Classico "Q. Orazio Flacco",  which will be held in Horace’s hometown, Venosa, (Italy) from 28th to 30th April  2025. It is recognized  by both the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and by the Ministry of Education.

It is addressed to 17-18 year-old pupils (attending the penultimate and last year of  high schools specializing in classical and artistic studies) who will be  hosted by our school in Venosa, Horace's birthplace.

It is a wonderful experience for  young people who will have a good opportunity  to meet hundreds of  teenagers coming from all over Europe and  visit  this beautiful and uncontaminated area, rich of history and archaeology.
